About Us
Beam started with a simple truth: recovery is harder when people feel alone.
We kept meeting individuals and families who said the same thing, treatment helped, but once they walked out the door, they didn’t know where to go, who to talk to, or what came next. Some found support. Some got lost. Many just tried to “figure it out” quietly.
So Beam was created as a gentle guide for that in-between space. A place where someone could open their phone and find a lifeline: a peer to talk to, a resource nearby, a video that made them feel understood, or a story that reminded them recovery was possible.
Beam isn’t about perfection or pressure. It’s about direction, connection, and hope. It’s about taking the next step, even if it’s small. And it’s built by people who know recovery from experience and by experts who make sure the guidance stays grounded, safe, and evidence-based.
Today, Beam is part of the ARCS Alliance, linking communities and partners across the country to make recovery easier to navigate. We’re here so no one has to wonder where to start, what to do next, or whether support exists.
Because everyone deserves a path — and someone to walk beside them along the way.
Beam’s mission is to ensure that every person in recovery has a path, a community, and real support they can trust.
We help people find connection, guidance, and hope, right where they are, one step at a time.
